Lindsey’s Vegan Nacho Cheese Dip
I participate in several vegan food groups, and in one a young lady named Lindsey posted her recipe for vegan nacho cheese dip. She was enthusiastic about sharing it with the world, so here it is!
- 1.5 cups non dairy milk
- 2 Tbsp plain flour
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp English mustard
- ¼ tsp garlic powder or paste or 1 small clove
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper powder
- ½ tsp paprika or smoked paprika
- ¼ tsp cumin powder
- 1 Tbsp pickled jalapeno
- 3 Tbsp nutritional yeast
- 2 -3 tsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp chopped tomato or chunky salsa
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp salt or to taste
- Step 1 - put everything in a food processor and blend until smooth.
- Step 2 - pour into small saucepan.
- Step 3 - heat on a low heat for 3-5 minutes and stir with a whisk in order to avoid clumping.
- Step 4 - Enjoy!!
