This is the absolute best, most moving documentary which explains why it is important for us to move towards a vegan lifestyle.

In other words, do not allow young children to see this because they will get highly upset and cry buckets. And if you are squeamish, or you don’t want to know the truth about where the nation’s meat supply, milk and eggs come from and what is in that stuff, you won’t want to see it either.

However, if you are seeking more information about the cattle, poultry, pork, fish and dairy industries, you will find all the answers you seek right here.

EARTHLINGS is an award-winning documentary film about the suffering of animals for food, fashion, pets, entertainment and medical research. Considered the most persuasive documentary ever made, EARTHLINGS is nicknamed “the Vegan maker” for its sensitive footage shot at animal shelters, pet stores, puppy mills, factory farms, slaughterhouses, the leather and fur trades, sporting events, circuses and research labs.

Before I saw this film, I’d actually contemplated adding meat into my diet here and there after my two month “vegan jump start” program was complete. However, after seeing this no-holds-barred examination of the lives of feed animals and the horrible things mankind does to other life forms on the planet, I was disgusted and horrifed. After seeing this movie, I decided that I’d never eat meat, eggs, fish or dairy products ever again. I could not, in good conscience, return to a lifestyle which embraced animal suffering or which harmed my health and body. Just because it was a familiar taste.

The film is narrated by Academy Award® nominee Joaquin Phoenix. “Of all the films I have ever made, this is the one that gets people talking the most,” said Phoenix. “For every one person who sees EARTHLINGS, they will tell three.”

This film is rough to watch, but I’ve never seen ANYTHING that had such world-rocking impact on me and how I think about the non-human life forms on the planet, as well as myself. The truth about where the meat on those pretty little pink, blue and  white styrofoam trays comes from is there. Truth, however, is unfortunately not usually very pretty.

After you watch it, share your thoughts below. Then go tell three people about it.
