Lindsey’s Vegan Nacho Cheese Dip

I participate in several vegan food groups, and in one a young lady named Lindsey posted her recipe for vegan nacho cheese dip. She was enthusiastic about sharing it with the world, so here it is!

A great dip for chips at your next social event. Use it alone, as a base for tricked out nachos, or to accompany guacamole as an appetizer.
What You Need
  • 1.5 cups non dairy milk
  • 2 Tbsp plain flour
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp English mustard
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder or paste or 1 small clove
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper powder
  • ½ tsp paprika or smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp cumin powder
  • 1 Tbsp pickled jalapeno
  • 3 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 2 -3 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp chopped tomato or chunky salsa
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp salt or to taste
How to Do It
  1. Step 1 - put everything in a food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Step 2 - pour into small saucepan.
  3. Step 3 - heat on a low heat for 3-5 minutes and stir with a whisk in order to avoid clumping.
  4. Step 4 - Enjoy!!
